Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole on Wednesday demanded probe by a committee headed by a judge to get 'more clarity' on the issue of corruption allegations against state home minister Anil Deshmukh.
The Supreme Court Monday allowed Mumbai Police to carry on the investigation against former police commissioner Param Bir Singh but restrained it from filing charge sheets on the first information report (FIRs) against him over the allegations of misconduct and corruption.
Deshmukh filed his bail application through advocates Aniket Nikam and Inderpal Singh before the special CBI court judge S H Gwalani in the corruption case being probed by the CBI.
